Trash Chute Cleaning and Sanitization Process

After inspecting the building and the condition of the trash chutes, in regard to the degree of “build up” within them, we will be able to promptly proceed with the corrective measures in order to neutralize and alleviate this problem. Our unique process will totally remove all forms of bacteria and odor causing matter as well as insect larvae.

Our Process

The Cleaning-Mode-Pass

1.      We first transport all support material to the top floor and the highest trash chute intake door where we enter the chute and lower our specially engineered, variable speed, winch cable down to the ground floor inside the dumpster room. 

2.      Next, having already ‘safety sealed’ all trash chute intake doors on all lower floors, our specially manufactured and developed cleaning appliance, the Whirrly Bird is secured to the cable that draws from a high pressure, hot-water generator and power source. 

3.      The cleaning appliance is then raised up the entire inside length of the trash chute at a controlled rate of ascent, at which time an E.P.A. approved, non-toxic, detergent is introduced to cut the greasy, sticky build up that has formed inside the chute.  It also will totally remove all forms of bacteria and odor causing matter as well as insect larvae.

The Rinsing-Mode-Pass

1.      Next, under controlled decent, the Whirrly Biird cleaning appliance is lowered back down the chute, applying decreased pressure and clear water to rinse away all loosened and dislodged waste material. 

2.      During this rinsing pass, a disinfectant solution and deodorizer is introduced which leaves the entire chute clean and fresh smelling for weeks.

Finishing and Clean-Up

1.      After disconnecting the power supply, cleaning appliance and removing the winch cable, the safety seals are removed from all trash intake doors. 

2.      The dumpster room walls and floor as well as exterior of dumpster are cleaned and sanitized and all water accumulation is directed safely down the floor drain.
